Obituary of Pat Shelley
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Pat (Anna Margaret) Shelley passed away January 27, 2012
She was married to Russell Shelley on Oct. 2, 1947 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing in Cuyahoga Falls on Jan. 16, 2005.
Born in Glasgow KY, July 30, 1924, Pat graduated from Glasgow High School in 1942 but moved to California where she and her husband settled after the end of World War II. In 1956 they moved to Phoenix , AZ where Russell was the chief engineer for Milum Textile Services. Most of their retirement years were spent living in Glasgow , KY until they moved to Ohio in 2003. Pat will be remembered as one who was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and faithful friend to many. She was always a faithful servant at church until health issues in her latter years limited her ability to serve.
She is survived by her only child Karen Hopson who is married to John Hopson, the pastor of Northampton Bible Church in Cuyahoga Falls, three grandchildren David (Sara), Mark (Shelley) and Nathan Hopson, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pastor John DeMund will conduct service Wednesday 12 noon at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until service time. Further visitation, services and burial will be held in Glasgow, KY.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that a memorial gift would be made in her honor and sent to Northampton Bible Church, 333 W. Steels Corners Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Mrs. Shelley's video tribute may be seen here.
