Obituary of Robert E. Brisbin
STOW – Robert E. Brisbin, 75, died January 11, 2012 after a year long battle with cancer and is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
Born in West Union, West Virginia, he was a longtime area resident. Bob was a retired sergeant from the Stow Police Department and a member of Acker-Moore Memorial Post. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan; children Michelle Boardman of Akron, Scott (Sharon) Brisbin of Stow, Ann (Kevin) Cochrane of Cuyahoga Falls and Todd (Leigh-Ann) Brisbin of Stow; grandchildren Cameron, Alicia, Garrett, Logan, Alivia, Emily, Christopher, Annaleigh, Kevin and Michael; siblings James Brisbin of Cuyahoga Falls, Ed “Ozzie” (Kima) Brisbin of Oklahoma; David (Sandy) Brisbin of Vermont, Janet (Howard) Edwards of Cuyahoga Falls, Judi (Ed) Lint of Stow and Willie Brisbin of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 4 to 8 PM, where funeral service will be held Saturday 12 Noon. Burial at Stow Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Stow F.O.P. Lodge #82. Bob's video tribute may be viewed here.
