Obituary of Bette A. Underwood

STOW- Bette A. Underwood, 81, died December 17, 2011. Born in Coal Center, PA, she was a resident of Stow since 1964, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and had retired from O’Neil’s in 1989 after 23 years service.  Mrs. Underwood was active in the American Legion Auxiliary for 54 years in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She was a regular volunteer at the Phyllis Zumkehr County Clothing Center.Bette was a wonderful mother and grandmother and supported many local charities. Preceded in death by her husband William in 2005, she is survived by her children Ritch, William, Jr. (Cynthia), Barbara (Bruce) Riehl, David, Ronald (Gina)  and Elgie Underwood; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Vizza and Henrietta Spencer. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 PM.  American Legion Auxiliary memorial service will commence at 7:45pm. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Entombment Rose Hill Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., P. O.
