Obituary of John Edward Revack

TALLMADGE – John Edward Revack, 79, died December 17, 2011. Born in New Kensington, PA, he was a longtime resident of Solon, Ohio prior to moving to Tallmadge, Ohio in 2002. Mr. Revack graduated from North Union High School, Class of 1949, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he lettered numerous years in football and basketball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force (1951-1955) during the Korean Conflict, receiving the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the Solon, Aurora and Mogadore V.F.W. Posts and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and co-workers. Mr. Revack was heavily involved with his grandchildren during his retirement years. Preceded in death by his sister Roseanne, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene; daughter Pamela (Lou) Petrone of Tallmadge; son Wayne Revack of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Nicholas (Kelly), Chris (Courtney) and Danielle (Scott) Cole; great-grandson Seth and brother Ted of Burlington, Kentucky. Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Wednesday 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 5 PM until service time.
