Obituary of Beverly Jane Goodman

SILVER LAKE - Beverly Jane Goodman, 81, was called home by her Savior November 25, 2011. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was raised in Windsor, moved to the United States in 1948 and was naturalized in 1988. A graduate of Kent State University, she was also a longtime member of First Christian Church of Stow and a Bible study leader for many years. Jane was a gifted and talented artist, working in many paint mediums and pottery. She was also active in many clubs, including Silver Lake Garden Club, Silver Lake Social Club, Grandmothers’ Club, Flower Craft and the Hudson and Cuyahoga Falls Art Societies. Preceded in death by her husband Robert and parents Wilfred and Reba Maybee, she is survived by daughters Caryn (Paul) Martin of Youngstown; Allison of Silver Lake; son Ted (Sally) of West Friendship, MD; brother Richard (Janet) Maybee of Canada; grandchildren Stephanie Wagner, Katelyn Martin, Hannah and Emma Goodman; great-grandchildren Dane, Iva and Kennedy Wagner, and Isabella Martin. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 5 to 8 PM, where Dr. David Loomis will conduct service Wednesday 11 AM. Burial Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
