Obituary of Shirley M. Haver
STOW – Shirley M. Haver, 73, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 with her loving family gathered around praying for her.
Shirley was born in Akron on June 13, 1938, to John and Susan Thomas. She was graduated from Akron East High School, and worked as a secretary at General Tire until she married and moved to Atlanta, Ga. In high school, she met her sweetheart Robert W. Haver. Bob and Shirley were married March 9, 1957, and lived in Texas, South Carolina, the Azores, and California while Bob served in the USAF. In 1962, they settled in Stow to raise their five children. Shirley was a dedicated, loving wife and mother to her family, and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus with all her heart.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Bob of Stow, and her dear children Kenneth W. Haver (Judy) of Akron, Lora J. Haver of Munroe Falls, Dennis W. Haver (Tracy) of Stow, Lisa A. Foss (John) of Stow, and Charles W. Haver (Kristen) of Stow; and her fourteen precious grandchildren Amber, Amy, Carly (Shawn), Bethany, Jenny, Robby, Joseph, Christa, Michael, Anna, Josh, Katie, Nathan, and Bree.
A service of thanksgiving for Shirley’s life, and celebration of her eternal life with her Heavenly Father, will be at the Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, with Pastor Fred Wallis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery, Stow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her name to Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center, 4669 Fishcreek Rd., Stow, OH 44224.
