Obituary of Clarence Nelson

CUYAHOGA FALL - Clarence G. “Swede” Nelson 88, died October 15, 2011.  Born in Akron, he served his country in the Army during WWII in the European Theatre with 3 bronze stars, was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and had retired from the Mohawk Rubber Co. He was preceded in death by parents Gottfried and Selma Nelson, sister Signe Weidner and is survived by his wife of 65 years Alda, sons Jeff (June) Nelson, Kevin (Janeen) Nelson, grandchildren Trisha (Stacy) Wilkins, Heather (Neil) Ferrari, Scott (Julie) Nelson, Todd  Nelson (Malissa Bramlett), Mark (Lucia) Nelson, 10 great-grandchildren with one more on the way, sister Ellen Weidner and Goddaughter Sandra Canali. Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM where Rev. Deborah Wissner will conduct service Wednesday 11 AM.  Interment Hillside Memorial Park where Charles Faust American Legion Post 281 will conduct a military service.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 833 Carroll St., Akron, OH 44305.
