Obituary of Mark Cicchinelli

STOW-Mark Cicchinelli, 56, passed away on October 23, 2014 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. “A true hero is not measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart” and Mark is our hero. Mark was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and the University of Akron.  He was employed for over 35 years at FirstMerit Bank in Akron, Ohio. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Marie A. Cicchinelli and his father Andrew M. Cicchinelli.  Mark is survived by his faithful, loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Joleen and his two beautiful daughters Sara and Anna who he loved very much. He leaves behind his partner in crime cousin Lori Reale and his faithful canine companion Cody. Mark also leaves behind his sister, Barbara L. Mullett, brother, Mario A. Cicchinelli, father& mother in law, Marlin and Dottie Filipek, brother-in-law, Mike (Julie) Filipek, sisters-in-law,Cheryl (Jim) Rybicki, Kim (James) Populorum; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  The family would like to thank the oncology office of Dr. Marquinez who has shown their love, support and kindness over the past year. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
