Obituary of Anna Marie Ferrato
SILVER LAKE – Anna Marie Ferrato (nee Cirino), age 81, died peacefully on Monday morning, September 12, 2011.
Beloved wife of the late Blaise J.; dear mother of Annette (John) Shaughnessy, Blaise J. Jr. (deceased), Domenic (Joy Wilson) Pizzoferrato, Joseph Ferrato, Linda Ferrato, Patty (Klaus) Ferrato-Kunzmann, Marianne (Allen Wyman) Ferrato, Ellen Ferrato, John (Nancy) Ferrato, Tina (Mark Furr) Ferrato, Ron Ferrato and Ken (Heather) Ferrato; devoted grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; loving daugher of the late Patrick and Jessie Cirino, dear sister of Eloise (Marty) Finazzo and Patrick (Sue) Cirino; sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend of many.
Born in Cleveland, she lived most of her life in the Cleveland/Akron area. Mrs. Ferrato put family first and was a giving woman, volunteering her time, talents and love. She enjoyed traveling to visit her children. She loved music, especially Big Band, dancing, playing badminton, and had a smile for everyone. Anna Marie was a very warm, generous and kind woman of faith who lived a life of genuine service to others and her grace lives on in our hearts and minds.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 5 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Friday 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1815 W. Market Street, Suite 301, Akron 44313 or to Hospice of Summa, 525 E. Market Street, PO Box 2090, Akron 44398.
