Obituary of Evelyn A. McCammack
Evelyn A. (Robinson) McCammack, 91, a devout Christian, went home to be with the Lord September 5, 2011.
A longtime area resident, she was a charter member of Tallmadge Lutheran Church, where she was active in church ministries and taught Sunday School and more recently attended Stow Alliance Fellowship. She was proud to be a Rosie the Riveter during WWII and enjoyed gardening and volunteering in the community. Evelyn was the world’s greatest hostess and enjoyed painting and playing practical jokes on everyone.
Preceded in death by her first husband Wayne Robinson, second husband Rex McCammack and sister Jenney, she is survived by daughter Carol (Jim) Houff of Tennessee; sons Craig (Val) Robinson of Hudson and Jack (Cindy) Robinson of Charlotte; grandchildren Staci, Tricia, Carley, Brenna, Amanda, Eric, Cody and Sarah; five great-grandchildren; sisters Phyl (Arthur) Sirkis and Gwen (Tom) Bishop; brother Nard Neher; step-children John, Diane and Sandy and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pastor John Cervone will conduct a memorial service Saturday, September 10th at 10:30 AM at Stow Alliance Fellowship. Burial at Standing Rock Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Stow Alliance Benevolence Fund, 4460 Stow Road, Stow 44224.
