Obituary of Mabel Ward Hoffman
STOW – Mabel Ward Hoffman, 89, made it home to the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on August 14, 2011.
Mabel was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Stow and the original cook for the UMC Child Care Center, now known as Children’s Place. She touched many lives as she crocheted gifts of afghans and doilies for friends and family. Her beautiful work was a God given talent. Mabel’s family will miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Ward and brother Harry Ward, she is survived by husband of 70 years, Paul; daughters Carol (Robert) Wickland of Stow and Susan Koeberle of Cuyahoga Falls; sons Paul (Sue Ellen) Hoffman of Dover and John Hoffman of Cuyahoga Falls; brother Russell (Elaine) Ward of Florida; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home and Thursday 10 to 11 AM at the United Methodist Church in Stow, where Rev. Scott Hayward will conduct service at 11 AM. Burial at Silver Springs Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to United Methodist Church in Stow, 4880 Fishcreek Road, Stow 44224.
