Obituary of Aden Keith Riffle
Stow – Aden Keith Riffle , 88, died August 4, 2011.
Born in Salem, OH Aden Keith Riffle was a long time area resident. After graduating from Salem High School he joined the U.S.Navy where he served in the New Hebrides as a member of the South Pacific Naval Air Station Fleet Band. He toured with Bob Hope and Jack Benny shows on the USO circuit. He played in several community and professional bands and managed the AK Riffle band for many years. He retired from Pennsylvania Crusher where he was a purchasing agent. He was a member of The Church of the Blessed Hope in Chesterland.
Preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Harriett French Elliott, parents Clell and Helen (Weingart) Riffle and brother Kermit, he is survived by sons Mark (Barbara) of Florida and Michael of Georgia, grandchildren Katie and Cristen (John); sister Lona (Len) Robbins of Louisville; step-sons Dr. Cameron Elliott of Fairlawn, Dr. David (Michele) Elliott of Stow, Keith (Ann) Elliott of Mayfield Village, step-daughter Lauren (Rene) Woolcott of Virginia. Aden was a delightful grandfather to his step-grandchildren Jennifer, Sarah, Jared, Maeve, Colin, Brenna, Cameron, and Lisbeth. He also enjoyed 8 step-great grandchildren and was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He counted Nancy Reed as one of his best friends.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 5 to 8 PM. Graveside service will be conducted Saturday 11 AM at The Chapel at Hope Cemetery in Salem, OH.
