Obituary of Sophia Daixin Strohm
HUDSON- Sophia Daixin Strohm, age 6, died July 9, 2011.
Born in Shangrao City, China, adopted into her forever family on January 12, 2009. Sophia was loved deeply, not only by her forever family, but by her church family: The Chapel at Tinkers Creek, Streetsboro, the wonderful doctors and nurses at Akron Children’s Hospital’s hematology/oncology department, her school family: Cornerstone Community School, Stow, her orphanage family at Shepherd’s Field (Philip Hayden Foundation) and the countless others whose lives were touched and changed by knowing her. Sophia’s presence will be missed by all who knew her, but her light cannot be dimmed. Her father, mother and sister anxiously await the day that they will see her again; healed, whole and smiling from ear to ear.
She is survived by her loving parents Thomas and Monica; sister Olivia; grandparents Mildred Deka and George and Margaret Strohm.
Pastor Dave McClellan will conduct service Wednesday 7 PM at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, 44236, where friends may call from 5 PM until service time. Private burial Thursday at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Philip Hayden Foundation, 40335 Winchester Rd., #E-115, Temecula, CA 92591.
