Obituary of Dean R. Slagle

STOW- Dean R. Slagle, 73, passed away the morning of Thursday, July 7th,  2011. Born in Akron, OH, Dean attended Central Hower High School and earned a BA from the University of Akron. He began his professional career with Olson Electronics and in 2002, retired from Audio Technica, U.S. where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations. A member of the Stow-Munroe Falls Rotary, a former Board Member of the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the Stow Schools Foundation, Dean served his community well and continued his volunteer efforts with Meals on Wheels up until the time of his death. Dean is preceded in death by his father Forrest Slagle, and is survived by his mother, Winifred Slagle, his wife, Susan Slagle, and his two sons, Todd and Brett Slagle. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home in Stow for visitation between the hours of 1 PM and 5 PM on Sunday, July 10th.  Pastor Jim Case will conduct the funeral service at First Christian Church of Stow, 3493 Darrow Rd. at 10 AM on Monday, July 11th.  Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
