Obituary of William C. Hill
William C. Hill (Bill), 76, went home to be with the Lord July 7, 2011. Born in Slab Fork, WV, he grew up in Beckley, WV and had been a Stow resident for many years. He retired from Chrysler with 32 years of service and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, being stationed at Tulley, Greenland and Lake Pontchartrain, LA.
Preceded in death by his parents Elmie W. and Florence Louise Hill, he is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Phillip W. (Margaret) Hill and Richard Vaughn Hill, grandchildren; Wayne, David and Kayla, sisters Hazel (L.D.) Hartwell and Freda (Charles) Lane, step children Sharon Smith, Stephen (Laurie) Boggs and their son Benjamin.
Bill enjoyed square dancing, gardening , working outdoors and fellowshipping with church friends.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday, July 14th from 5 to 8 PM. Friday, July 15th friends may call from 10 AM to 11 AM with service following at the First Assembly of God Church, 1175 W. Market St., Akron 44313, Pastor Kent Jarvis officiating. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Missions or Building Fund.
