Obituary of Jacqueline F. Rogers
STOW – Jacqueline F. Rogers, 84 ended her earthly journey on June 27, 2011. Thank you, Mom, for teaching us courage; patience; fortitude and endurance in the face of hardship; and, for reflecting God’s love through your life. Our family has been truly blessed by your example.
A lifetime area resident, Jackie graduated from Stow High School, Class of 1944, was a charter member of Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center, and retired from Akron City Hospital after many years of dedicated service as an LPN.
Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Denzil in 2002, she is survived by sons Stephen (Janice) Rogers of Connecticut, and Denzil (Noreen) Rogers of Pennsylvania; daughters Christina (Myron) Allison of Stow and Connie (Tim) Pierce of Columbus; granddaughters Heather (Rich) Vogler, Jennifer (John) Napolitano, Rebecca Allison and Pam (Chuck) Whittington: grandsons Matthew (Bobbi) and Joshua (Samantha) Rogers; great-grandchildren Ashley, Isabella and Owen Vogler, Aiden and Mia Napolitano, Kelly and Luke Whittington and Tyler Campbell; brother James (“Bud”) (Kay) Wyant; sister-in-law Eva Balogh. The family wishes to thank Jolene Nunemaker, Traci Dunbar and Loretta Danford for their loving care of Jackie over the past four years.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, June 29, 5 to 8 PM. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM at Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center, 4669 Fishcreek Road, Stow 44224 or Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
