Obituary of Roger E. Vanaman
NORTHAMPTON- Roger E. Vanaman, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior June 25, 2011.
He retired from Firestone in 1982 and Hercules Corp. in 1993. Roger enjoyed many friendships through The Chapel in Akron, the local Airstream Club and his friends from the days of being a volunteer at Akron General Hospital. He had also served many years on the Northampton Volunteer Fire Dept.
Preceded in death by his daughter Kathy and parents Malcolm and Edna Vanaman, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jackie; son Ed (Becky) Vanaman, daughter Susan Vanaman; grandchildren Paul and Michael Vanaman; siblings Darlene (George, deceased) Leipold, Mac (Janet) Vanaman, Wayne (Nancy) Vanaman, Joetta (Jim) Schafer, Richard (Jennifer, deceased) Vanaman and longtime friends George and Lois Garman.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 5 to 8 PM. (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN VISITATION TIMES.) Pastor Eloy Pacheco will conduct service Tuesday 11 AM at the funeral home.
