Obituary of Rebecca K. Jensen

Rebecca K. Jensen, 81 of Stow entered into eternal rest June 5, 2011. Born in Plymouth, OH, Becky was a Stow resident since 1962 and a longtime, active member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, where she served on various committees and boards.   Mrs. Jensen retired as an English teacher from Stow High School in 1995 after 32 years service. She is a member of the “Wall of Fame” being one of the early inductees. She was past-president of the Stow Teachers Association, Yearbook and Senior Class advisor.  A member of OES- Falls Chapter 245, she was also a past-president of the Business and Professional Women. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Kenneth; children Wade (Olivia) of Raleigh, NC, David (Hallie) of Philadelphia, PA, Natalie Jensen of Akron, Chris (Jane) of Akron and Garth (Melissa) of Herndon, VA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers James (Carolyn) Kennedy, Robert (Lucy) Kennedy, Joe Lee (Darlene) Kennedy and Neil (Connie) Kennedy. Our family would like to extend our appreciation to all who helped Mom and Dad during this time. A celebration of life will be conducted Monday June 13th at 11 AM by Pastor Arthur Cubbon at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow 44224. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time.  Burial will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to the Memorial Fund at St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
