Obituary of Pastor Franklin A. Lorenz
CUYAHOGA FALLS- Franklin A. Lorenz, 85, died June 1, 2011.
Born in Warren, OH, he was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 1958 and
a US Navy veteran of World War II. Along with his wife Eileen, Pastor
Lorenz founded Northampton Baptist Church (now Northampton Bible
Church) in 1956, and oversaw four building projects during his 47
year leadership. He retired in 2003. Pastor Lorenz also served as
past president of the Conservative Baptist Association of Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eileen; daughter Linda
(Dale) Hawley of Beavercreek, OH; son Franklin L. (Cindy) of Akron;
grandchildren Jonathan (Erianne) and Matthew (April) Hawley, Tyler
Lorenz and great-grandchildren Titus, Alexandra, Nicholas and Ella
Rose.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 5:30
to 8 PM. Mr. John DeMund will conduct service Saturday 10:30 AM at
Northampton Bible Church, 333 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls
44223. Entombment Northlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors
provided by the US Navy. Should friends desire, memorials may be
