Obituary of Richard L. Housley
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Richard L. Housley, Sr., 98, died May 8, 2011.
A lifetime area resident, he was a member of Ghent Christian Church for 37 years and then became a member of First Christian Church of Stow in 1990. He retired from Bender & Louden Motor Freight as Vice President of Operations after 41 years of dedicated service.
Preceded in death by sisters Augusta Forshey, Betty Osman and Ruth Jacobs, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Blanche; daughter Susan Valley of Sebastian, Florida; sons Richard, Jr. of Stow and Gary (Jennifer) of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren Debbie Clements, Jeff Valley, Sheri, Decker and Cooper Housley and five great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 12 Noon to 1:30 PM, where Rev. Jonathan Rumburg will conduct service at 1:30 PM. Entombment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
