Obituary of William David Widdowson

William David Widdowson, of Wanaque, NJ passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2014. He was born January 11, 1965, in Philadelphia and moved to Hudson, OH in 1976. While growing up, William was very active in the Boy Scouts and as a cub scout received the Arrow of Light award. As a scout, he earned the Order of the Arrow and God and Country awards as well as the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1983 he graduated from Hudson High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was on the varsity wrestling and football teams. He attended Lehigh University where he was an active member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. William graduated in 1988 with a degree in finance. After graduation he spent his career in New Jersey in consumer finance and com mercial lending within various commercial institutions, most recently as a Senior Relations Manager at ReadyCap Lend­ing.   William is survived by his parents Diane Bunting Widdowson, William Work Widdowson, Jr., and was the loving father of two sons, David William Widdowson and Erik Christian Widdowson who reside with their mother, Kristin Hackbarth Widdowson of Pompton Lakes, NJ. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Widdowson, (Donald Morris) and their children, Christiana Lynn Morris and Stephen Michael Morris of Stow.   Graveside services were held at Markillie Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Rd., Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
