Obituary of Gregory J. Michl
TWINSBURG- Gregory J. Michl, 47, died March 6, 2011.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and a proud police officer, serving the City of Mayfield Heights for the past 21 years, currently as a sergeant. A member of the FOP, Greg was also instrumental in the creation of both the Juvenile Diversion Program and the Auxiliary Program, as well as spending time as a Mayfield Middle School Resource Officer.
Preceded in death by his father Richard J., he is survived by his wife of 26 years Kathy; daughter Melissa Michl and son Matthew Michl; mother Janet Michl of Stow; brothers and sisters Patrick Michl of Denver, Linda Griffiths of Norton, Peter Michl of Lexington, KY, Susan Butler of Akron, William Michl of Hudson; 14 nieces and nephews and his “stupid dog” Charlie, dog Coalby and cat Sonny.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 10 AM at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, 10439 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg 44087, Fr. John Singler celebrant. PLEASE MEET AND FORM PROCESSION AT THE CHURCH. Burial All Saints Cemetery.
