Obituary of Cornelius Bulman
Cornelius “Neil” Bulman, 90, died October 5, 2014. Born in Boston, MA, he graduated from the University of Massachusetts and received a MS in Bacteriology from Iowa State. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. with 36 years of service. He was an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and hiking, and was famous for his vegetable garden. He was active in Boy Scouts, the local men’s garden club, and had a tree planted in his honor by the Silver Lake Park Board in appreciation for his years of service.
Preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 grandchildren, he is survived by his loving wife, Millie, daughters Mary Bulman-Griggs (Joseph), Margaret (Joseph) Gasper, Millie (Bart) Johnson, Elizabeth (Jerry) O’Mara, Kathleen (Robert) Lewis, sons, Cornelius, Jr. (Francie), Joseph (Gretchen) and Francis (Tammy), 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and sister Anne (William) McSweeney.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be conducted Friday 9 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Father Paul Rosing celebrant. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family School, 3163 Kent Rd., Stow, OH 44224.
