Obituary of Kathleen L. Martin

Kathleen L. Martin, 88, died February 16, 2011. Born in Akron, she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Stow-Munroe Falls Kiwanis Club, Stow Players, Stow Woman’s Club, Akron Symphony Woman's Organization and had received the Friends of the Community Award from the Stow Chamber of Commerce.  She had also worked as an LPN, fostered multiple foster children through the Catholic Service League and had been a writer for the Stow Sentry. Preceded in death by her husband Lou in 2006 and son Joseph, she is survived by daughter Mary (Mohammed) Bassiouni, sons James (Frances), Richard (Barbara), Dennis (Jana), and Robert (Sue), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister Rosemary West. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Kentridge at Golden Pond and Harbor Light Hospice for their comfort and care of Kathleen. A memorial mass will be conducted at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, March 5th at 11 AM.  Inurnment Stow Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Holy Family Endowment Fund, 3450 Sycamore Drive, Stow, OH 44224.
