Obituary of Patricia M. Learner
STOW- Patricia M. Learner, 79, formerly of Munroe Falls, died January 21, 2011.
Born in Sebring, OH, she had worked in Akron during World War II at Akron Aircraft toward the war effort, and then finished her work career at Rempel Toys. Pat was a devoted friend who was always concerned with others. While she loved making crafts and giving them away, her greatest love and joy was her family, the time spent with them and a good joke.
Preceded in death by her husband George in 2000, her parents Harold and Margaret Brooks, and brothers Carl and Robert Brooks, she is survived by her daughter Sandra (Robert) Brown of Rhode Island; son Mark Learner of Stow; granddaughters Victoria, Rachel and Haley Brown; sister Jean (Ken) Batchik of Akron; nieces Carla and Janice and nephew Tim, all three of whom were an important part of her daily life. Pat is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members and her “love family”, the Welfleys and Dickens.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitiation Monday 6 to 8 PM, where Rev. Eloy Pacheco will conduct service Tuesday 11 AM. Burial Greenlawn Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
