Obituary of William T. Markle
STOW – William T. “Bill” Markle passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 11th, 2011 at Hospice Care Center in Fairlawn.
Bill was born March 3, 1956 in Akron to Dean W., Sr. and the late Grace R. Markle. He graduated from Newark High School in 1974 and was employed by the Kroger Company for 20 years. Bill was the owner of two Subway Restaurants in Stow and Cuyahoga Falls along with his wife Marilyn.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Marilyn Dobson Markle; son Bradley T. Markle of Ellet; step-daughter Christina (Ric Wise) Cotton and her children Lane and Lyndon Cotton of Mogadore and Brandon Hostetter of Newark, OH; father Dean W., Sr. of Heath, OH; sisters Marilyn (Jim) Devine of Westerville, OH, Myrna (Greg) Wessinger of Westerville, OH; brother Dean, Jr. (Kim) Markle of Newark, OH; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gary and Patty Lanning of Granville, OH and many nieces and nephews. Bill also leaves his cherished pups Grady and Ginger.
Bill’s extended family includes his neighbors in Stow and fellow campers at Cutty’s Sunset Campground in Louisville, OH.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM, where Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Saturday at 10:30 AM. Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newark, OH. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087.
