Obituary of Walter C. Kimes

STOW – Walter C. Kimes, 83, died November 28, 2010. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, he was a lifetime area resident and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his wife Caroline in 2005, son Gary, one brother and six sisters, he is survived by daughters Brenda (John) Butler of Akron and Terry Porter of Cuyahoga Falls; son Walter Kimes of Stow; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 PM, where Hospice of Summa Chaplain Michael Shaub will conduct service Thursday 10 AM.  Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Great Rivers Affiliate, P.O.
