Obituary of Michael J. Veneman

STOW – Michael J. Veneman, 54, died October 30, 2010 after a courageous battle with ALS. Mike was a well known stand up comedian and writer who played in clubs and colleges across the U.S. for over 20 years. Along with numerous writing credits and T.V. appearances, Mike conducted the Comedy 101 Workshop. He touched and influenced many people and he kept us laughing until the end. A longtime area resident, Mike earned his Masters Degree from Kent State University. Preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ruth and sister Peggy Harris, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cris; sisters Donna Latkiewicz of West Virginia and Janine (David) Jones of Akron; brothers Jack and Tom of Florida and Jim (Rande) of California; nephew and pal Breighton and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, November 7th,  4 to 7 PM and Monday, November 8th, 11 AM to 2 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Father Michael Williamson will conduct service Monday at 2 PM.
