Obituary of Starla Dawn Grubich

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Starla Dawn Grubich, 44, died October 24, 2010. Born in Warrensville Hts., she graduated from Stow High School in 1985 and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Akron.  Starla had attended Holy Family Catholic Church, and was a 25 year veteran of the US Army, having served during Desert Storm in Kuwait and Operation Iraqi Freedom, achieving the rank of Major. She is survived by her father Michael A. Grubich of Stow; sister Hope (partner Laura) Grubich of Kent, brother Michael J. (Michele) Grubich of Coventry;  nephew and niece Seth and Kendyll  Grubich; best friends Teena McKamey and Teresa Flores, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home.  Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 11:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.  Starla's video tribute may be seen here.
