Reverend Harold (Harry) Francis Watson, Jr.
MUNROE FALLS- On September 13, 2010, Harold F. Watson, Jr., a loyal and faithful servant of the Lord, left this earthly life to join his Heavenly Father.
Born in 1934, Harry grew up in the Youngstown area and excelled in various athletic pursuits through high school. Following high school, Harry served his country in the U.S. Army and later completed his education at the University of Youngstown.
Harry worked for Procter and Gamble for more than 30 years before taking an early retirement to pursue his true calling – to bring the gospel of Christ to incarcerated men. For the past 30 years, Harry has been a familiar face at the Summit County Jail where he has touched the hearts and lives of countless men and their families.
Harry leaves behind his wife Sandra; his children Renee and Andrew Watson; step-son Duane (Renee) Jones and brothers Donald (Karen), William (Diane) and David (Janie).
Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Rev. Sherman Bailey will conduct funeral service Thursday 11 AM at The Chapel of Prayer, 1811 Brittain Road, Akron 44310. Interment Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Haven of Rest, Way Out Prison Ministry or the building fund at The Chapel of Prayer. Rev.
