Obituary of Bruno J. Niewierowski

STOW – Bruno J. Niewierowski, 63, died August 22, 2010. Born in Ravenna, he was a longtime resident of Stow. A member of St. Eugene Catholic Church, he retired as a firefighter from the Akron Fire Department in 1998. Bruno was a member of the Polish American Club and the Stow Police Reserves, retiring after 25 years of service. He and his son shared a passion for the Dallas Cowboys. He had a great love of airplanes instilled in him by his father. In turn, he instilled a love of planes, model and real trains in his grandson. He was also a true Parrothead. Preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jenny, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Catherine; son Brad (Judi) of Texas; daughter Michelle (Steven) McNichols of Florida; grandchildren Nathan and Audrey; sisters Joan Niewierowski and Kosh (Chuck) Zabur; nieces and nephews and many friends and family. Bruno was dearly loved by so many and he will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call Friday 9 to 10:30 AM at Redmon Funeral Home. Last Alarm at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Fr. Neil Crosby celebrant. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Monday 9:30 AM.
