Obituary of Terrill Melvin Schneider
MUNROE FALLS - Terrill “Terry” Melvin Schneider, Sr., died August 22, 2010.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls December 29, 1931, he lived most of his life in Munroe Falls, proudly serving people there for 32 years, first as a fireman, then as Captain of the Munroe Falls Fire Department. The owner of Falls Mold and Die for 36 years, he was also a member of FOPA Lodge #66, National Tooling and Machine Association, N.E. Ohio Rubber Group and President of the class of ’49 of Stow High School. His loves were golf, his ‘49er classmates of Stow High School and family.
Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Melvin and Mildred Frances; first wife Shirley June; son Trent and brother Bill, he leaves an empty space for his wife Millie; sons Terry, Jr. (Linda) and Todd (Jill); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Jerry (Carmella) and his many friends.
He was a man who led by quiet example and earned the trust and respect of everyone he knew from his earliest days.
Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 9 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Pastor Michael Swab will conduct service Thursday at 11 AM. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Twin Falls United Methodist Church, 60 North River Road, Munroe Falls 44262 or the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
