Obituary of Dorothy E. Hansford

Dorothy E. Hansford went to eternal life on June 23, 2010. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 12, 1924 and was adopted by Harry and Grace Kraus. A Stow resident for over fifty years, Dorothy was previously employed by Steve’s Professional Dry-Cleaners in Stow, Ohio. Throughout her life, Dorothy was passionate about providing a loving home to many rescue animals. An avid gardener, she loved tending to her many vibrant flowers bursting with abundant blooms. Dorothy is survived by her compassionate and devoted husband of 25 years, Robert, Son, Carl and daughter-in-law, Karin, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, step-sons Robert Hansford of Kent, Ohio and Richard Hansford of Sarasota, Florida, brother-in-law, Bruce (Nancy) of Kent, Ohio, 4 granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons. Cremation has taken place. Pastor Lynn Williamson will conduct memorial service Wednesday 7 PM at Redmon funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
