Obituary of Katherine M. Daymon

STOW- Katherine M. Daymon, 81, lost her courageous 9 year battle with cancer on July 6, 2010. Born in Detroit, MI, she had lived in Stow since 1967 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  Katherine retired from Allen’s Hallmark Store in 1997 and was also a volunteer at Akron City Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, Harley “Jay”, in 1992, she is survived by daughters, Toni Kelly of Fremont, CA; Sandra (Dennis) Freshwaters and Mary (Stan) Allen, all of Simpsonville, SC; Patricia (Michael) Boyd of Rockwall, TX; sons, James (Monica), John (Janine), and Robert (Aimee), all of Stow; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony (Helen) Spaich of Pompano Beach, FL and George Spaich of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Mass of Christian Burial 10 A.M. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Burial Stow Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 3-8 P.M. at Redmon Funeral Home.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Cooper Cancer Center, ATTN: Sue Reigle, 161 N.
