Obituary of Shirley Hannold

STOW - Shirley Hannold, born January 6, 1932, went to be with our Lord on July 5th, 2010 at Summa Hospital's Palliative Care Center. Originally from Cincinnati, she married William in 1952. From that point on, they and their eventual family traveled the world from air base to base. In 1974, William retired from the Air Force, and they settled in Stow, Ohio. Mom loved to read, solved all types of puzzles, was an excellent watercolor artist and enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William R Hannold; her mother Ethel Ward and father Ellsworth Shambaugh. She is survived by sisters Jean (Bob) Gropper of Grants Pass, OR, and Pat (John) Cox of Indianapolis, IN; son Mark and daughter-in-law Cynthia of Hannibal, MO; son Joseph of Stow, OH, and daughter Susan Carleton of Liberty, MO; grandchildren Christopher, Jennifer and Michael Hannold; Marissa Kline and Tony Ferrell and great-grandchildren Tom and Emily Kline and Michael Dodd. Friends may call TODAY 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where Rev. Jonathan Rumburg will conduct service Thursday 11:30 AM. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
