Obituary of Richard Lloyd

Richard L. Lloyd, 83, passed away June 7, 2010.  Born in Akron, he was a former member of the Wooster Avenue Christian Church and for many years a member of the First Christian Church of Stow.  He served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict, volunteered at the YMCA, was a graduate of Kent State University, Goodyear Engineering Squad and had retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1985 with 44 years of service. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Jennie Lloyd, brothers Philip and Thomas and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sara, daughter Patricia (Jim) Ruschak, sons Rick (Susan) and Jim (Debbie), grandchildren; Matthew, Sarah, Anna, Rachel and Christopher. Rev. Jonathan Rumburg will conduct a memorial service Thursday 11AM at First Christian Church of Stow, 3493 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224, and where friends may call Thursday from 10 AM until service time.  Interment Stow Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Stow or National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131-2217.
