Obituary of Karl Stevens

  Karl Stevens, 83, passed away May 12, 2010.  Born in Akron in 1927, he graduated from North High School and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.  He retired from the Navy in 1973 with many medals and awards.  He was most proud of the Joint Service Commendation Medal.  His career included Supply Officer, Officer In Charge and Executive Officer positions.  He owned and operated the Little Red Wagon and Honey Gold Company for 40 years.  Preceded in death by wife, Dale, in 2008 and son David in 1994, he is survived by daughter Michelle and son-in-law Tim Sahr, grandchildren Meghan, Nathan and Abigail. Friends may call at the Redmon Funeral Home Sunday from 1 to 3 pm, where Pastor Jason Moore will conduct service Monday 10 AM.  Interment Markillie Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community of Believers, 2543 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 or the GriefCare Place, 4499 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.  Mr. Stevens' video tribute may be seen here.
