Obituary of David I. Dally
David I. (Dave) Dally, 77, passed away suddenly May 5, 2010. Born in Akron, he had retired from Euclid Inc., in 1989 with 30 years of service.
During his career, he traveled extensively throughout the United States and the world. Dave and Delores spent two years in Chile and three years in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a young man, he was a part-time firefighter for the Stow Fire Department and was a certified scuba diver. He served nine years with the U.S. Naval Reserve.
He enjoyed retirement by golfing, sailing, woodworking and caring for his much loved horses.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Delores, daughters Linda (Mike) Thompson, Kathy (Perry) Riggenbach, Dee (Pete) Johnson, grandchildren Dr. Amanda Kovolyan, Brad (Nina) Kovolyan, Brian (Sarah) Hurst, Anna Riggenbach, Sam Riggenbach, Alyssa Johnson, Shelly Johnson and Makayla Johnson, great-grandchild Kaila Kovolyan, brothers Edgar B. (Chris) Dally and Don I. (Bev) Dally. He will be sadly missed by his puppy Cuddles.
Pastor Jim Case will conduct service at the Redmon Funeral Home Monday 1 PM where friends may call Monday from Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity. Mr. Dally's video tribute may be seen here.
