Marlene had the most generous spirit of anyone I have ever known. She was always kind and happy. Marlene loved her family, her home and her community. I fondly remember visiting with her as she worked in her immaculate yard and the lovingly prepared meals and treats that she gave to us and a regular basis. Bill, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your son and daughter. Marlene was a wonderful friend and neighbor. It was always such a pleasure to stop and talk to her out in the front lawn as I passed by on my walks. My mother's life centered around her children and her home. So for that reason she had a small circle of friends. One of those special friends was Marlene. Marlene was a bridesmaid in my mothers wedding many years ago. Mom always loved Marlene and through the years they continued a close relationship to one another. That speaks so much of the kind of person Marlene was and she will always hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember her beautiful smile, her laugh, and her huge hugs when she greeted you. May her beautiful soul rest in comfort and peace with our precious Lord.
