Obituary of Mildred J. Monteith
MILDRED J. MONTEITH
STOW - Mildred J. Monteith, 96, entered her eternal home with God February 23, 2015.
Born in Akron, Mildred was a lifetime area resident, most recently residing at Stow-Glen Retirement Village. She was a long-standing member of Stow Presbyterian Church and The Order of the Eastern Star-Falls Chapter #245. Mildred was a world traveler, enjoyed volunteering, gardening, playing cards and bingo.
Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul; son, Edward Monteith; and brothers Richard, Edward and Howard Osman. She is survived by daughters, Pat (Terry) Amberson, and Becky (John) Tarka; son, Randy (Pam) Monteith; daughter-in-law, Carole Monteith; sister-in-law, Jane Osman; brother-in-law, Edward 'Bud' (Helen) Monteith; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 6 to 8 PM, where Pastor Kim Barnett will conduct funeral service Thursday at 10 AM. Burial Stow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stow-Glen Retirement Village, 4285 Kent Road, Stow 44224.
