Dear family of Marty Hardesty, Marty and I worked together at Goodyear Aerospace and Goodyear Airship Operations for many years. He was one of my best friends and later became my boss. I had the greatest respect of Marty. He was one of the best of friends and workers. After our retirements we helped to rebuild some of the airships at Wingfoot Lake. I will never forget Marty and I made many road trips together on TV events. I am sorry I that I am in Hilton SC for the winter and unable to attend his Funeral. Marty's best friend, Jerry Shanafelt

I am so very sorry to hear of Marty's passing. He will always be one of my favorite people and neighbors. All my family have so many great memories of Marty and all of the Hardestys. The whole family is a fantastic group of people. He always seemed to have a smile to brighten your day, even if his was not the best day of the week.
