Obituary of Dan Hale

STOW - Dan Hale, 66, died unexpectedly at the Lois Stokes VA Medical Center on March 12, 2015. A graduate of Hudson High School, he bravely served his country during the Vietnam War, US Army, 101st Airborne Division, and had served on the Board of Directors of the Summit County Agricultural Society for 24 years. Dan had his own construction and remodeling business for over 40 years and was an excellent finish carpenter. Preceded in death by his daughter Katherine Hale and parents Wanda and Kermit Hale, he is survived by Elizabeth, his wife of 27 years who he loved and cherished. "After 35 years together, I cannot imagine a day without the love of my life, my soul mate and best friend. I will forever miss the comfort, smile and laughter only he could provide". He is also survived by his sisters Karol Schmitt, Patricia Nichol; brothers Dennis (Nancy), John (April) and Andrew (Robin) Hale; cherished aunt Norma Hale; dear cousin Ruth (Don) Fleming; brothers in law Rick (Koral) Walters, David (Kelly) Walters; sisters in law Victoria (Patrick) Horner, Peggy (Joe) Gartner and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, where Rev. Allan Belton will conduct service Thursday 11 AM. Private burial Markillie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
