Obituary of Michael E. Curry

Michael Eugene Curry STOW - Northeast Ohio lost a friend in the passing of Michael Eugene Curry on March 28th. Mike died in Stow at the age of 61, flanked by family members. Mike excelled at his job as a Tax Analyst at BF Goodrich, his dedication unparalleled. He was classically educated at Cuyahoga Fall High School, or Black Tiger High as he called it, then Miami University and ultimately at the University of Akron where he received his J.D. He was born a southern gentleman on September 29th 1953 in Anderson, South Carolina to Mary and Gene Curry. After living in Georgia and California, Mike settled in Silver Lake with his brother Brian and sister Sally. Mike loved basketball and golf, excelling at both in his youth. He was a lover of sport, cheering on his beloved Browns, Indians and Cavs. He was also a man of God, a veteran of years of bible study groups. Mike selflessly gave of his time as an usher at Holy Family Church and as a volunteer at CYO, where he was once named the Volunteer of the Year. He leaves behind his wife Marsha, son Brent, daughter Beth, son-in-law Nat, granddaughter Maren, brother Brian, sister-in-law Kathy, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He now joins his parents Mary and Gene, sister Sally and niece Amanda in heaven. The Curry family is forever indebted to Elms Assisted Living, Heritage of Hudson and VITAS Hospice for Mike's care in his last years. Memorial donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence Ohio, 44131. His final resting place will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, Ohio. All are welcome to a memorial service on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church in Stow.
