Obituary of James Louis Bradford
JAMES LOUIS BRADFORD
STOW - James Louis Bradford, 72, passed away April 4, 2015 after an eight year battle with leukemia.
Born in Akron, Jim was a lifetime resident of the Akron area. Jim earned both his Bachelors and Masters in Education from Kent State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was an expert rifleman. He was a teacher and assistant principal with the Akron Public Schools for 30 years and, prior to that, his family operated Bradford's Bakery in Cuyahoga Falls for 30 years. He loved boating, skiing and spending time with his son and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Marianne Bradford; parents, John and Virginia Bradford; and sister, Judith Bresnahan, he is survived by his son, Matthew Bradford; grandchildren, Willow, Cyrus and Spencer Bradford; sister, Linda Bradford; and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 5 to 9 PM where funeral service will be conducted Friday 2 PM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
