Obituary of John S. George

John Stewart George (Stu), 57, of Bay Village, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. Stu was born in Elyria, Ohio, on August 13, 1957, and resided for most of his life in Lakewood, Ohio, and for the past three years in Stow, Ohio. Stu graduated from Bay Village High School in 1976. He was employed most of his life in retail management and was well known for his kindness and friendliness. Stu loved the game of golf, was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing. He was, of course, a "True" Cleveland sports fan through thick and thin, and supported the Ohio State Buckeyes as well. Stu will be missed for his kind heart, sensitive nature, wit and wisdom toward everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward, and brother, Eric. He is survived by his son Eric of Columbus, Ohio; mother, Marian Christopher; sister and brother-in-law, Holly and Dave Jacob; nephews, Matt, Griffin, and Connor, all of Stow. Pastor Jim Case will conduct a memorial service Saturday at Redmon Funeral Home at 3 PM where friends may call from 2 PM until service time.
