Obituary of Elizabeth (Betty) Martha Flinta
Elizabeth (Betty) Martha Flinta, 81, formerly of Burton, Ohio passed away May 23, 2015 in Stow, Ohio. Betty was born in Bellevue, PA to H. Webster and Martha (McCormick) Daugherty on February 9, 1934. She graduated from Butler, PA High School and Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle, PA. Betty worked as an RN during her working career for several northeast Ohio hospitals. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafting, and especially spending time with family and friends. Betty was an active member of the Burton Congregational Church and then later the United Methodist Church in Stow. She actively participated on many committees and in many outreach programs at both churches.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Flinta, in 1998. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Peggy Flinta of Stow and Bob and Andrea Flinta of Hilliard, Ohio. She is also survived by grandchildren David (Chai Mintz) Flinta, Megan Flinta, Lindsey (James) Wolf, Michael Flinta, Stephanie Flinta plus three great grand children and her brother H. W. Daugherty, Jr.
