Obituary of Nicholas J. "Nick" Dimoff

Nicholas John Dimoff, 64 of Stow, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones. Nicholas was born in Akron, Ohio to Alexander and Nada Dimoff on February 3, 1951. He was a 1969 graduate of Kenmore High School and later went on to earn a degree in Accounting from Kent State University. He retired in 2013 as Vice President of Finance and Group Controller at The Babcock & Wilcox Company, Nuclear Operations Group after 39 years. Nick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed mentoring and coaching youth football. Proud of his Macedonian heritage, he was a loyal member of the Macedonian Businessmen’s Club of Akron. Nick is survived by his mother, Nada Dimoff, his wife of 32 years, Ellen, his sons Anthony (Sherri) Donizetti, Tanner (Tiffany) Donizetti, Alexander (Sandy) Dimoff and his daughters Gina Anderson and Laura (James) Wetzel, along with eight grandchildren (Toni, Jenna, Adrianna, Easton, Layla, Isabella, Tanner, and Cohen); sister Nanette (Bill) Fender of Phoenix,AZ and many wonderful friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father, Alexander. Friends and family are invited to St. Elia the Prophet Orthodox Church in Akron where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 10 a.m. with Father Don Freude officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery in Stow. Calling hours will be held at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow on Monday, June 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a short service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The National Brain Tumor Society (www.braintumor.org) in memory of Nicholas Dimoff.
