Obituary of Theodore Dobies

Theodore Dobies, "Mr. Dobies", went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2015. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 5, 1929, he served in the U.S. Army in post-World War II Korea and worked as a machinist in the aircraft industry for many years. Mr. Dobies resided in the Akron area since 1979, and has had a close relationship with Haven of Rest Ministries since that time. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Joseph and Maryanna; brothers Walter, Johnny, and Stanley; and sisters Josephine and Betty. He is survived by many nephews and nieces. A special thank you to the Akron VA on Waterloo Road, the Area Agency on Aging, Mercy Hospice, Chapel Hill Nursing Home, his many friends at the Mayflower Manor, and friends at Haven of Rest Ministries. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Haven of Rest Ministries, Rev. Ben Walker officiating.
