Obituary of Gregory A. Graham

Following a brief illness, Gregory A. Graham, 64, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, in Hudson. Born in Lebanon, Indiana, Greg was a graduate of Lebanon High School and Indiana University. A life-long learner, he continued his education earning a Master of Art and Religion degree in 1996 and a Doctor of Ministry in 2014 from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After a 23-year career in sales management with Hewlett Packard, Greg moved to Ohio, first to serve as Executive Pastor at Riverwood Community Chapel in Kent, then at other churches throughout northeast Ohio in various capacities. He delighted in serving as an interim pastor or guest pastor at several churches including Weymouth Community Church and Church in the Valley. As part of his second career, Greg taught at Akron University and Kent State University, combining his previous sales experience with his passion to positively impact students’ lives through teaching. A runner and golfer, Greg enjoyed many sports, especially IU football and basketball. Go Hoosiers! was a favorite cheer. Most of all, he loved the Lord, and helping others was his greatest satisfaction. He looked forward to new service opportunities through his appointment to the Endowment Foundation Board of Directors for Haven of Rest. Greg is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Debbie; and their two children, Casandra and Cody Graham; as well as Weimaraner “GrandPup” Grady in Indianapolis, IN. Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Greg Graham on Friday, September 4, at Riverwood Community Chapel, 1407 Fairchild Avenue, Kent, OH where Pastor Cole Tawney will officiate a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM and where friends may call from 9 AM until service time.
