Obituary of Hazel I. Thompson

Hazel I. Myers Thompson, 90, died October 20, 2015. Born in Clarksburg, WV, she was a Stow resident since 1980 and a lifetime member of the Assembly of God church, most recently Celebration Church in Akron. Hazel loved quilting and her family, and most of all she loved the Lord. Preceded in death by her first husband of 53 years Vinton Edward Myers, sons Russell and Richard Myers, and brothers Chester and Harold Snider, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, William Thompson; daughter Charlotte (Ted) Groggs, step-daughter Diane (Don) Zinn, step-sons Bill, Gary (Diane) and Randy (Davidia) Thompson; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Pastor Zach Prosser will conduct service Saturday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until service time. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., Akron 44310.
